A Kidtastic season at the Edinburgh Playhouse!

The Edinburgh Playhouse will play host to a variety of fantastic kid’s shows over the next few months to keep your little cherubs thoroughly entertained. Thomas and Friends Live will be first to roll into town with a brand new 90-minute musical stage show featuring Thomas and his engine friends Percy and Diesel, The Fat Controller along with residents and engineers from the magical Island of Sodor. The show includes new railway-themed songs as well as much loved classics including ‘Roll Call’ and ‘Good Morning’. This is a must for all Thomas fans! (9-11 May)

For the first time ever characters from four popular Playhouse Disney TV shows appear together live on stage for an unforgettable musical celebration. Playhouse Disney Live! brings audiences into the colourful worlds of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, My Friends Tigger & Pooh and Handy Manny. There’ll be singing, dancing and interactive moments that children and parents alike will enjoy! (3-4 June)

The Wiggles – Live Hot Potatoes visit Edinburgh for the first time with a brand new live show full of fun for all the family! (23 June). Finally CBeebies at the Theatre is the first ever theatre adventure starring many of your favourite friends from CBeebies. Join PC Plum, Postman Pat, Jess the Cat and Tamba from Tikkabilla as we all discover the fun in recycling those everyday things that we throw away. There’ll be plenty of excitement and surprises as Jakers, Bill & Ben, Boo and even the Koala Brothers get into the action. (1-2 August).

A lavish, new production of the sensational ballroom dance spectacular, Simply ballroom, is dancing its way around the UK in 2008 and stops off at Edinburgh Playhouse on Tuesday 6 May 7.45pm for one night only.

Australia’s premier pre-school come to Edinburgh for summer tour

This summer the UK will be Wiggling as Australia’s premier children’s entertainment group, The Wiggles return with a brand new live show. Pre-schoolers and their families can join in the bright and tuneful fun as the tour visits Edinburgh, Tickets for the show are on sale now.
Joining Anthony, Murray, Sam and Jeff will be their friends Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus, singing and dancing along to Wiggles favourites such as ‘Hot Potato’ and ‘Rock A Bye Your Bear’.
The Wiggles’ interactive song and dance has been capturing audiences’ imaginations since 1991.
They have performed in front of over one million fans per year, sold over 22 million videos/DVD’s and
